Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts.
• Massachusetts School Nurse license and Administrator/Director license.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with two in school nursing.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of Public Health Regulations and health-related instruction.
• Experience developing student health care plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee health services district-wide and supervise nursing staff.
• Coordinate nursing services and supervise preventive health screenings.
• Develop health service policies, procedures, and district-wide nursing manual.
• Maintain computerized documentation systems for student health data.
• Prepare status reports for the Massachusetts DPH and other agencies.
• Monitor health data trends and advise on staff development needs.
• Manage health services budget and inventory; order supplies.
• Collaborate with Town and State health departments and oversee vaccination clinics.
