Job summary

Public Storage in Glendale, CA is seeking a District Manager to lead a portfolio of multi-unit properties with a focus on operational excellence, sales growth and exceptional customer experiences.

You will recruit, coach and develop a high-performing team, oversee audits and payroll budgets, and drive district strategies using analytics. This role requires relocation flexibility within promotion opportunities and a strong commitment to safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Relocation: ability to relocate for growth opportunities.
• Demonstrated leadership in building, developing and retaining high-performing teams in a retail/service environment.
• Proven track record of top-tier performance.
• Experience managing operational audits and payroll budgets.
• Exceptional communication and time management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Passion for sales and customer service excellence.
• Weekend availability by telephone; 6 work weekends per year during peak season.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, motivate and retain a dedicated team of front-line employees.
• Provide coaching on customer service and sales strategies.
• Manage physical assets, vendor management and cleaning standards.
• Oversee delinquent tenant processes including auctions and coaching to reduce delinquency.
• Conduct monthly property audits and ensure safety and standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and promptly resolve escalated issues.
• Drive district growth using analytics and implement opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and team members.
