Responsibilities

• Spends majority of time in restaurants (70%) developing, teaching, and coaching managers.
• Review operations data to drive improvements across the district.
• Assess situations, identify root causes, and partner with GMs to execute plans of action.
• Enforce standard operating policies and procedures per Operations Manual.
• Drive safe, compliant, and profitable district operations.
• Execute sales plans and promotions to boost restaurant performance.
• Communicate with market leadership and align district goals.
• Mentor and develop GMs and store-level teams for growth.
• Lead district meetings, provide feedback, and document performance.

Position Summary

The District Manager (DM) is responsible for People Development, Operations Excellence, Sales Growth, ProfitGrowth, and our Customer’s experience (Hospitality). The DM recruits, coaches, mentors, and develops the best managers in the industry to operate and execute flawless restaurant operations within a multi-unit district.

District Managers challenge each General Manager (GM) to set goals, measure results, be accountable, and celebrate wins. Job duties and responsibilities

• Spends majority of time in restaurants (typically 70% of work hours) developing, teaching, and coaching managers.
• Ensures operations excellence; reviews and analyzes data to make improvements within District, overall operations, and in underperforming stores.
• Utilizes strong analytical skills to assess situations, determine root cause, partner with GM to initiate plan of action and follow through to resolve.
• Demonstrates and enforces standard operating policies and procedures as defined in the Operations Manual.
• Responsible for safe operation within their district.
• Properly executes, enforces, and manages food safety and sanitation requirements; seeks out and eliminates potential food safety violations and unsafe practices or conditions.
• Executes sales plans and promotions and ensures operations excellence in restaurants.
• Communicates effectively and routinely to market leadership.
• Assumes accountability for District’s P & L results and delegates responsibility among team members for achieving financial results; manages profit to achieve goals and targets.
• Monitors sales volumes and manages projections accurately based upon trends.
• Engages the local community, ensuring local store marketing is reflective; builds strong community relationships.
• Acts as a positive influence in the community, creating goodwill in our neighborhoods.
• Is a People Builder who coaches, teaches, mentors, and develops teams to achieve restaurant and personal development goals.
• Is a Team Builder who develops a strong and united GM management team focused on overall district success.
• Conducts one on one meetings with their GMs and hosts district meetings to align, plan, and execute at the store level.
• Writes meaningful performance reviews that lead to GM growth and development.
• Uses the Restaurant Visit Report form, Oven Bake Audit, and other tools to document restaurant visits and provide GMs with feedback, direction, and positive recognition to ensure policies, procedures, and processes are followed.
• Provides both positive and constructive feedback, encouraging continuous learning, development, and achievements.
• Attracts and recruits new managers who will move the organization forward.
• Promotes and maintains a Respectful Workplace that promotes high, positive energy, encourages learning, and offers career development.

Minimum requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Previous Experience

• 3-5 years in similar multi-unit role preferred
• 2 years GM experience required
