Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking a Superintendent to serve as the CEO of the district, overseeing strategic plan execution and district-wide achievement. The role emphasizes inspiring educators, fostering diversity, and elevating public education through strong leadership.

You will be part of AdCo and DLT, guiding senior administrators and reporting to the Board of Education. The position requires a Master’s in educational administration, 10 years of district-level leadership, and deep knowledge

Qualifications

• Master's degree in educational administration or related field.
• Ten (10) years of public school district administrator experience at a school building or central district department, plus teaching experience.
• Advanced knowledge of current trends in education.
• Advanced knowledge of public school policy, procedure, and management.
• Advanced knowledge of financial challenges that Colorado districts face.
• Ability to embody high-energy and inspirational leadership.

Responsibilities

• Undertake administrative responsibility to recruit, hire, support, and retain high-performing staff.
• Manage day-to-day district operations within policy parameters.
• Communicate with the Board and provide timely information on district initiatives.
• Act as liaison with the community to foster partnerships and positive public relations.
• Anticipate and respond to new conditions, problems, and opportunities.
• Prepare policy recommendations for Board adoption and implement policies.
• Model sustained effort and leadership to promote student achievement.
• Define responsibilities and delegation for district administrators to meet district needs.
• Support long-term financial planning and budget alignment with strategic priorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
