Job summary

maurices is seeking a District Leader to drive district sales, profitability and talent development. You will cultivate a customer-centric culture, lead multiple stores, and coach store leaders to exceed targets across operations, visuals, and staffing.

The role requires strong business acumen, fashion knowledge, and proven leadership with the ability to travel extensively to support districts. A bachelor’s degree and retail experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Retail management experience required with multi-store supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interest in fashion and product knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Business and financial acumen including strong analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and challenge teams to achieve results.
• Strong problem solving/conflict resolution skills and the ability to make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Directs all activities to achieve sales, inventory, payroll and operational goals within a geographic market.
• Acts as brand ambassador and builds a customer- and associate-centric culture across channels.
• Assesses, develops, educates and mentors store leaders; builds bench and succession plans.
• Coaches on workload planning, scheduling and operational standards.
• Ensures stores meet visual presentation standards and are clean and shoppable.
• Leads hiring, onboarding and aligns goals; extensive travel required.
