Job summary

Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is seeking an Application Services Manager for the District Office in Dublin, California.

Under the Chief Technology Officer, you will lead district-wide IT activities related to software applications and online systems, create, maintain and execute system project plans, and work with staff to resolve functional and technical issues in the administrative systems environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six (6) years of experience in system design, programming, testing, implementation, and user training, including two years supervising software development staff and managing related projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate District IT activities and operations with regard to application development and integration.
• Develop and execute goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for application development and integration across all District colleges.
• Consult with management to identify and prioritize administrative application needs and solutions; advise on software acquisitions and upgrades.
• Supervise, hire, train, and evaluate IT staff involved in developing and maintaining District software applications.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State requirements; coordinate with departments to meet standards.
• Direct testing, training, and evaluation of District software systems and applications.
• Manage large-scale software implementation projects including development, testing, training, and user acceptance.
• Oversee development, maintenance, and training for District websites, portals, and mobile apps.
• Coordinate security policies for District applications; chair committees providing direction on critical systems.
