Job Description

Athletic event workers are to provide assistance and support to the athletic department staff to ensure adherence to rules and regulations and the management of our athletic contests.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for assisting with general event management, including supervision of spectators, officials, opposing teams, coaches, team personnel, and student sections to ensure compliance with rules and expectations.
• General crowd control
• Ensure provisions for safe and proper conduct of spectators at assigned athletic contests
• Provide security/escort of contest officials
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skills, and/or ability necessary.

• High school diploma or equivalent

Hours

• Guaranteed 3 hour minimum for each assigned shift
• Shifts and times as assigned by athletic department and are dependent upon sport

Compensation

• $20 per hour, paid through STS (Substitute Teacher Service)
