Job summary

Canteen North America is hiring a District Accounting Manager to lead district financial operations on-site in Texas. The role includes payroll, benefits administration, month-end close, budgeting, and internal controls with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

You will collaborate with auditors and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate GL reporting and timely financial statements. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in financial management, Staff Accountant experience, and strong MS Office/SAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business (Accounting, Finance, or Management).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and SAP.
• Total experience of five to seven years in financial management.
• Staff Accountant experience.
• Evening/weekend work during month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day HR issues including payroll and benefit administration, training, FMLA/Worker’s Comp issues, and regulatory compliance staffing.
• Manage cash room and coordinate banking/armorer car services.
• Manage A/R and A/P processes.
• Assist in the production of weekly reporting.
• Manage period close, ensure general ledger is accurately represented, and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in analyzing financial statements for areas of profit improvement, recommend action.
• Assist with forecast and budget modeling, evaluate what-if scenarios.
• Maintain internal controls within District operation.
• Interact with internal and external auditors.
• Provide assistance with building maintenance management as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Business: Accounting, Finance, Management, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Excel, Access, Powerpoint) and SAP.
• A minimum of five years financial management experience, preferred.
• Ability to track and measure financial data and communicate information up and down.
• Five to seven years of total experience.
• Staff Accountant experience.
• Evening/weekend work during month-end close.
