World Market in California is looking for dedicated associates for loading and unloading merchandise in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will operate various equipment and ensure safe and efficient operations.

Job description

We have openings on 1st and 2nd shift.

Shift Details

1st shift – 5:00 am to 1:30 pm (overtime as necessary based on business needs)

2nd shift – 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm (overtime as necessary based on business needs)

Hourly wage range – $18.50–$22.50 per hour depending on department. Additional $1.00 per hour for 2nd shift differential. Eligible for DC‑wide incentive bonus day 1.

What You’ll Do

• Loading/Unloading merchandise (manually and using equipment).
• Operate equipment such as Reach truck lift, Walk‑Rider, Forklift, Stock‑Picker, Double‑Jack.
• Utilize RF scanner with Warehouse Management System.
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, and climb stairs.
• Lift up to 50 lb.
• Stock, replenish, pick, consolidate, and locate products both physically and systematically based on operational focus.
• Complete daily productivity logs, equipment checklists and load plans and other forms accurately and legibly.
• Meet or exceed departmental productivity/accuracy standards.
• Work at elevated heights where applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

What To Expect

• Equipment experience is preferred but not required. We offer free training and recertification.
• Safety is non‑negotiable. We want you to leave work the same way you came in.
• We provide steel‑toe shoe stipend, high‑visibility vests and share safety tips at our daily start‑up meetings.
• Temperatures in the warehouse vary by season.
• Dress code is casual and clean. Shoes must be steel or composite closed‑toe, closed heel, non‑slip.

Full‑time and part‑time associates are eligible to participate in the company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan after three months of service. All associates earn paid sick leave. Full‑time associates receive vacation and paid holidays. Benefits for full‑time employment on the first of the month following 30 days of continuous employment include medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, life insurance, flexible spending, commuter benefits and employee assistance.
