Job summary

Petland Corporate Stores in Chillicothe, OH is seeking a Distribution Support team member to handle receiving, picking, packing, and shipping duties in our warehouse. You will ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time, while maintaining inventory integrity and safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and stock pickers, printing packing slips, and coordinating freight pickups, with lifting up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience/training, or equivalent combination.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads delivery vehicles.
• Picks orders quickly and accurately using a scan gun.
• Packs orders properly for shipping across multiple states.
• Receives, inspects, and checks accuracy of all inbound orders.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels.
• Operates forklifts, stock pickers, and delivery trucks.
• Assists in processing of orders and prints packing slips.
• Creates bills of lading and arranges freight pickup.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Loads and unloads delivery vehicles
• Picks orders quickly and accurately using a scan gun
• Packs orders properly for shipping across multiple states
• Receives, inspects, and checks accuracy of all inbound purchase orders and transfers
• Maintains accurate inventory levels
• Operates forklifts, stock pickers, and delivery trucks
• Assists in the processing of orders, verifies order accuracy and prints packing slips
• Creates bills of lading and arranges freight pick up
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT:

• Standing -Continually required to stand

• Lifting/Pushing/Carrying – Not required to lift more than 75 lbs. at a time with frequent lifting, pushing, or carrying of up to 75 lbs.

COMPENSATION

Starting rate is $16.50 with potential for $.50 increase after successfully reaching 90 days of employment.
