Job summary

Signet Jewelers in Akron, Ohio is seeking a Distribution Supply Chain Intern to gain hands-on experience across five core functions: Akron Distribution Center Operations, Transportation, Purchasing, Data Analytics, and Ecommerce Fulfillment.

This 40-hour-per-week, in-person internship offers rotational projects, data analysis, process mapping, and cross-functional collaboration to improve productivity and delivery service.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in degree in business or supply chain preferred.
• Anticipated graduation May/Dec 2026 or recent grads.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA, preferred.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills a must; analytical software skills a plus.
• Motivated to contribute time and effort to work with attention to detail.
• Organized and able to prioritize tasks and handle competing needs.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables with Supply Chain leaders.
• Assist in project planning by evaluating resource requirements and milestones.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through data analysis, reporting, and process mapping.
• Identify and resolve operational challenges to improve productivity and service levels.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve delivery efficiency.
• Monitor and report Distribution Center inventory performance and health metrics.
• Evaluate current supply planning processes and recommend improvements.
• Design and document transportation workflows to support standardization.
• Develop and maintain vendor/merchandise contact databases for freight chargeback management.
• Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to automate store communications for Ecommerce fulfillment.

Position:

The Distribution Supply Chain Intern will gain hands-on experience through rotational assignments across five critical Supply Chain functions: Akron Distribution Center Operations, Transportation, Purchasing, Data Analytics, and Ecommerce Fulfillment. This role provides exposure to end-to-end supply chain processes while supporting operational excellence through data analysis, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional project work.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Supply Chain leaders to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Support project planning efforts by evaluating resource requirements and tracking project milestones.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, reporting, and process mapping.
• Assist in identifying and resolving operational challenges to improve productivity, service levels, and overall performance.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance delivery efficiency.
• Monitor and report on Distribution Center inventory performance and inventory health metrics.
• Evaluate current supply planning processes and recommend improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Design and document transportation workflows to support process standardization and operational improvements.
• Develop and maintain vendor and merchandise contact databases to support freight chargeback management and recovery efforts.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain Data Analytics team to automate store communications and notifications that support Ecommerce fulfillment Working with Supply Chain Data Analytics group automating specific store notifications for ecommerce fulfillment

Basic Qualifications:

Work Environment:

• In person in Akron, Ohio: 40 hours per week

The salary range for this opportunity is $18.00-$19.50/hour. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
