Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Distribution Supervisor - Second Shift at the Hebron, KY facility on-site, with shift from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. You will lead a team of 26 (temp & FT) associates and drive daily distribution operations.

The role emphasizes Lean and Six Sigma, process improvement projects, on-time delivery, quality, safety, and engagement, plus collaboration with other supervisors and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 8+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience, OR Masters with 3+ years experience.
• 2.5+ years experience leading a team of 10+ associates in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Oracle, and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience in a Continuous Improvement Environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Supervisors to build and execute productivity plans by reviewing forecasts and balancing labor.
• Communicate policies and ensure adherence to compliance; take corrective action when required.
• Foster accountability, engagement, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in a Lean environment.
• Perform root cause analysis to drive problem-solving and lean initiatives.
• Manage and provide performance feedback to direct reports (26 temps and FT) with regular 1-on-1 meetings.

The Distribution Supervisor - Second Shift is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and developing their team of associates (20+) for fast-paced daily distribution operations. The supervisor analyzes and implements distribution strategies to support customer expectations, including on-time delivery, quality, productivity, and various other key performance indicators for the functional areas. They will develop, lead and implement process improvement projects; and practices Lean and Six Sigma principles to achieve established goals and objectives.

This position reports to the Operations Manager and is part of the Distribution Center located in Hebron, KY and will be on-site. The expected work hours for this role are approximately 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Coordinate with other Supervisors to build and execute productivity plans by reviewing work volume forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering to balance labor across the facility.

• Communicate policies to associates reinforcing adherence of the team to consistent compliance, taking corrective action when required

• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in a Lean environment.

• Perform root cause analysis to facilitate problem-solving and process improvement/lean initiatives to facilitate logical solutions.

• Manage and provide performance feedback and development opportunities to direct reports (26 temp & FT) including monthly 1-on-1 meetings with associates.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High School Diploma with 8+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience, OR Masters with 3+ years experience

• 2.5+ years experience leading a team of 10+ associates in a warehouse environment with the ability to motivate and develop associates

• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Oracle and intermediate Microsoft Office skills

• Lean/Six Sigma experience in a Continuous Improvement Environment.

• Proven ability to make decisions, collaborate and thrive in an ambiguous environment with minimal support at times

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• A fast-paced operations site with multiple shifts

• International shipping processes
