Job summary

CFI Solutions Inc. is seeking a CDL delivery driver to operate a large commercial truck on a fixed route, delivering products to customers and collecting payments. The role requires early morning starts and entails loading/unloading, recording sales, and maintaining vehicle condition.

The driver will also provide customer service, highlight new products, and ensure accurate order forms and receipts are completed for each delivery.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CDL training or certification preferred.
  • Experience operating large commercial trucks is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload the truck as deliveries occur and ensure proper documentation.
  • Maintain truck cleanliness and perform routine inspections and basic maintenance.

Summary

This position is primarily responsible for driving a truck over a pre-established route to deliver and sell products or render services, collect money from customers, and pickup products and other items from them as requested.

Duties and Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Able to start early in the morning i.e., 5:30-6:30 am.
  • Drives truck to deliver and pickup products to and from customer's home or place of business.
  • Collects money from customers, makes change, and records transactions on customer receipt.
  • Writes customer order and instructions.
  • Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales or delivery record.
  • Calls on prospective customers to solicit new business.
  • Prepares order forms and sales contracts.
  • Writes up Casings, Repairs, and Returns to be brought back
  • Informs regular customers of new products or services.
  • Listens to and resolves service complaints.
  • Places stock on shelves or racks.
  • Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
  • Occasionally loads and always unloads truck (as customer deliveries occur)
  • Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
  • Cleans inside and outside of truck.
  • Performs routine inspections and helps schedule regular maintenance on truck.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training.
  • Must be able to use map software (Google maps, Garmin GPS).
  • At least one year operating or working as either a CDL Driver or working on CDL trucks as a mechanic- i.e. - Familiar with the operation of a large commercial truck.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
