Job summary

Medtronic in Memphis is hiring for a 2nd shift warehouse role at our Airways Distribution Center. You will oversee shipping and receiving, use our ERP/WMS systems, and ensure accurate materials flow to support patient care.

We value leadership, project management, and cross‑functional collaboration. A bachelor’s degree with experience or an advanced degree with relevant experience is required; international shipping experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years of relevant experience (or equivalent non-US degree).
  • Experience leading processes, projects and initiatives within a functional area.
  • Advanced expertise with cross-functional impact and strong communication.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.
  • Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
  • Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements.
  • Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
  • (un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
  • Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software, Effective Communication Skills.

Shift
  • 2nd shift: 2pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Practical experience leading and executing processes, projects, and initiatives within a functional area.
  • Advanced expertise in a specific technical or professional discipline, with awareness of cross‑functional impact.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree plus 3 years of relevant experience (or equivalent non‑U.S. degree meeting 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A))
Nice to Have
  • International Shipping experience
  • Experience leading supervisors or multi‑shift teams
  • Background in continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Advanced experience with WMS/ERP systems and operational reporting
  • Exposure to automation or large‑scale distribution operations
  • Experience with budgeting, labor planning, or cost management
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration experience (supply chain, transportation, 3PLs)

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$96,000.00 - $144,000.00

This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

  • The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long‑term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well‑being program).
