Distribution Estimator I position involves supporting engineering teams in designing overhead and underground distribution lines and preparing estimates for materials and labor costs using SAP. The role requires gathering field data, updating maps, and producing CAD drawings to assist with maintenance and capital projects.

Under general supervision, performs a broad range of technical engineering support functions; prepares engineering records, plans, drawing layout, system mapping, and computer-aided design and drafting; prepares engineering calculations; investigates and inspects power construction or alteration projects. Performs other duties as assigned.
Distribution Estimator I is the entry class of the Distribution Estimator series. Progression to the next level will depend on vacant positions at the higher level.

High school equivalency with supplemental college courses in engineering, drafting, computer-aided design and drafting, and/or advanced mathematics and;
Two years of appropriate computer-aided design and drafting experience.
A valid driver license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles is required.
