Job summary

Imperative Chemical Partners in Texas is seeking a professional CDL driver to pick up chemicals and deliver them to the Imperative yard, satellite yards, frac sites, and customer leases. You will verify orders, record pickups, and obtain signatures while complying with DOT and hazardous materials regulations.

The role requires a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, at least one year of commercial driving, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• 3-year clean driving record (MVR).
• Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles including delivery trucks, tank trailers/ISO units, and over-the-road tractors.
• Strap down totes and ensure daily runs meet delivery requirements.
• Unload totes with forklift or pump as needed; verify and secure loads.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle safety standards.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and hazardous materials transport guidelines.
• Maintain drivers hours of service using GeoTab drive app.
• Obtain shipping papers for each load leaving a location.
• Work with logistics to ensure satellite yards meet requirements.
• Follow company policies and wear required PPE.
• Occasionally perform overnight deliveries due to driver time constraints.

SUMMARY

Primarily responsible for picking up chemicals from the distribution location and deliver them to the Imperative yard, satellite yards, frac sites, and customer leases. Verifies order details, records pick up information, and obtains proper signatures on paperwork as needed for accurate tracking. Safely operate a diesel, 1-ton pickup / gooseneck combo, multi-geared bobtail truck/pup and/or tractor- trailer combination vehicle over heavily congested city highways, rolling hills, and rural roads. Responsible for pre and post trips for all vehicles used to deliver chemicals to customers locations or satellite yards.

JOB DUTIES

• Safely operate vehicles to include (not limited to) delivery trucks, tank trailers/ ISO, over-the-road trucks
• Strap down totes on trailers to ensure daily runs meet company delivery requirements
• Unload totes with a forklift or pump from totes as needed
• Ensure empty containers are loaded and strapped down appropriately to return them to the yard
• Always maintain truck and equipment in a safe and operable condition by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections both pre and post trip
• Must operate in accordance with DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with homeland security requirements and guidelines
• Maintain drivers hours of service by using the GeoTab drive app
• Obtain shipping papers each time a load leaves a location whether it be from the local yard, satellite yard, customer lease or frac location
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Work closely with logistics team ensuring all field or satellite yards are meeting requirements
• Required to wear appropriate PPE in accordance with company policy
• Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment
• Occasionally perform delivery duties that require an overnight stay due to driver time expiration
• Other duties may be assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE

• Minimum high school graduate or GED
• Must have a current Class A CDL with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements
• One year of commercial driving experience
• Compliant with Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations and DOT regulations for the past 3 years
• Acceptable motor vehicle record for the past 3 years
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 pounds

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Experience with the operation of forklifts, drum dollies, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, and gauges
• Experience with handling products in various types of packages including bulk, drums, totes and ISO tanks
• Able to back straight trucks, semi-trucks, and trailers into narrow passages in various environments

DOT REQUIREMENTS

• DOT Driver Type: Operates Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 26,001+ lbs.
• Valid Class A CDL: Minimum of 2 years of verified commercial driving experience required.
• Valid Medical Certificate (\"Form 5876\"): Must maintain a current, valid medical certificate.
• Clear Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) Report: All accidents must be reported.
• Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR): No more than 3 moving violations within the last 3 years. No DWI/DUI offenses within the past 7 years. Must show a valid Class A CDL.
• Clearinghouse Query: Must show as \"Driver Not Prohibited.\"
• No active Substance Abuse Program (SAP) or Return to Duty listings.
