As an Engineering Drafter / Designer, you'll play a key role in developing and maintaining utility design documentation while supporting engineering teams on a variety of infrastructure projects.
Create and revise engineering drawings and design documents for utility and power distribution projects.
Conduct field investigations and document existing utility infrastructure, including poles and related equipment.
Collect and verify field data using GPS and conventional surveying methods.
Update utility drawings and design packages using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
Execute redlines and implement approved engineering design revisions.
Assist with power distribution and civil drafting activities to support project delivery.
Maintain accurate records of existing conditions and design changes.
Support designers and project managers with plan development, layouts, and project documentation.
Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high‑quality, accurate design packages.
Utilize GIS and Microsoft Office tools to organize project information and track progress.
Participate in occasional site visits to verify existing conditions and ensure design accuracy.
1+ years of experience in CAD drafting, engineering design, or a related technical drafting role.
Experience using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
Exposure to utility, power distribution, civil, or infrastructure drafting projects.
Ability to conduct field visits and gather technical information.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with power distribution, utility design, or electrical infrastructure projects.
Understanding of civil drafting principles and utility mapping.
Familiarity with GIS applications.
CAD Certification, Associate Degree, or related technical education.
Knowledge of electrical design concepts and power delivery systems.
