Actalent in Kalamazoo, MI seeks a Distribution Design Engineering I to plan and design electric and gas distribution systems, determining needs, sizes, locations, and timing for power delivery projects. You will work under established procedures, solve routine technical problems, and collaborate with peers on field engineering tasks, with a hybrid work arrangement and competitive hourly compensation.

Job Title: Distribution Design Engineering I

Job Description

This position involves planning, engineering, and designing electric and gas distribution systems. The role requires determining the need, size, location, and timing of power delivery infrastructure development while balancing economic, environmental, social, regulatory constraints, and reliability needs. Duties may include developing work packages for overhead and underground residential distribution, field engineering project requirements, identifying conflicting utilities, performing engineering and design calculations, and conducting post-construction reviews.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
