HDR, Inc. seeks a Distribution Coordinator/EIT to support power delivery projects in the Southwest. You will analyze design options, prepare drawings, cost estimates, and specifications for client use.

The role offers field work, collaboration with engineers and BIM specialists, and opportunities to advance toward EIT certification. Primary location is Albuquerque with additional locations in Phoenix and Tucson.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• EIT certification is preferred; candidates without EIT may be placed in a Design Coordinator role and encouraged to obtain EIT.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Perform routine engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures.
• Complete projects with defined objectives and limited variables.

In the role of Distribution Coordinator/EIT, we'll count on you to:

• Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (examples include engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and project specifications)
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers / professionals on larger projects
• Work with assistance from Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed
• Perform other duties as needed
• Perform field work, analysis, calculations, and design for various overhead and underground system improvement projects
• Prepare deliverables for use by client in support of land acquisition, permitting, and construction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
• Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
