Job summary

FleetPride in Grapevine, TX is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the 1st shift to directly supervise distribution center staff. You will plan, direct, and coordinate all duties, including personnel management, training, performance, and safety adherence.

Responsibilities include pulling and organizing orders, scheduling inbound/outbound shipments, maintaining 99% accuracy, and coordinating with other departments to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of warehouse and supervisory experience.
• Good computer skills and working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (JDA, Manhattan).
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Pull and organize orders from warehouse by part number and quantity as directed.
• Create detailed schedule time lines to meet inbound/outbound shipments specs.
• Develop input on labor requirements; coordinate manpower and overtime.
• Package and ship customer orders by UPS, US Mail, motor freight, or local truck.
• Maintain stock accuracy with documents and delivery schedules (≥99%).
• Train new employees on equipment and safety procedures; monitor results.
• Interface with other departments to meet deadlines; resolve problems.
• Lead process improvements to increase distribution center efficiency.
• Participate in annual physical inventory; ensure adherence to safety rules.

Carries out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Plans, directs, and coordinates all assigned functions in the area of responsibility. Responsible for personnel management, including hiring, training, performance management and compensation.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Pull and organize orders from warehouse by part number and quantity as directed by picking ticket in priority assigned. Orders may be customer orders, IBTs or returns (excess and vendor).• Creates detailed schedule time lines to ensure all inbound and outbound shipments meet specifications.• Develops and provides input on labor requirements needed.• Package, label and ship customer orders by UPS, US Mail, bus, motor freight and local truck deliveries.• Ensure all stock is pulled and loaded into the delivery vehicle with accompanying and necessary documents, in conjunction with delivery schedules maintaining a minimum accuracy rate of 99%.• Train new employees on the proper use and maintenance of equipment and facilities utilized in the performance of their job. Follow-up to ensure results are achieved.• Coordinates manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions.• Interfaces with other departments to ensure Inbound and outbound deadlines are met.• Develops a process plan including people, resources, equipment and floor space for each distribution receipt.• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet departmental schedules.• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of distribution center and its employees.• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve goals.• Confers with other Supervisor(s) and Managers to coordinate activities of department.• Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.• Adheres to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.• Participate in the annual physical inventory• Weigh materials or products and record weight and other production data on tags and labels• Work on special projects as appointed by the warehouse manager• Ability to assist with inventory control processes and proceduresEDUCATION & TRAININGBachelors degree in business or equivalent is preferredGood computer skills, including database, spreadsheet, good working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (JDA, Manhattan, etc)KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEMinimum 3 plus years of warehouse and supervisory experience is requiredStrong leadership, communication and organizational skills are requiredEffectively present information to customers, clients and other employees in 1 on 1 and small groupSKILLS & ABILITIESModerate physical effort and use or motor skills requiring manual dexterity.
