Job summary

The Container Store is seeking a Replenishment and Putaway Specialist in Aberdeen, Maryland. You will move inventory from Receiving to storage and pick locations, operate pallet jacks, and use handheld devices to manage replenishment and putaway tasks.

In a fast-paced, highly automated distribution center, you will meet productivity targets, work in multi-level modules, and stay compliant with safety policies. A strong team player with good communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience operating a Reach Truck and Order Picker (Cherry Picker).
• Versatility within the department for various tasks including equipment usage and RPA duties on foot.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with radio communication.
• Experience in a highly automated distribution environment a plus; knowledge of WMS, RF devices and voice picking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Relocate inventory from Receiving dock to open-air reserve locations or active pick locations.
• Operate pallet jack for putaway in multi-level pick modules.
• Use handheld devices to receive replenishment and putaway tasks.
• Adhere to safety policies; maintain safe work area and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely and accurately relocating inventory from the Receiving dock to either open-air reserve locations or active pick locations
• Responsible for using a pallet jack to perform putaway tasks in multi-level pick modules
• Utilize handheld devices to receive replenishment and putaway tasks
• Ability to maneuver equipment, navigating aisles, and using the lift mechanism to reach high racks. Adheres to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Ability to consistently meet time-based productivity standards
• Comfortable working in multi-level picking modules and around conveyor systems
• Maintains a safe work area, adhering to safety policies and procedures
• Supports and works in other departments throughout the Distribution Center
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• This role also entails maintaining inventory accuracy throughout the Distribution Center

• Arrives on time and is prepared to begin work at the scheduled shift time and committed to working scheduled hours with flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
• Makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process information
• Ability to work within and exemplify The Container Store brand which we describe as matchless, fun, authentic, team-focused and life-changing
• This position requires associates to stand 100% of the time and walk approximately 50% of the time with the ability to lift up to 47 pounds independently
