The Distribution Center (DC) Specialist I is a cross‑trained warehouse professional who supports daily DC operations. This role is responsible for order fulfillment including picking, packing, shipping, inventory accuracy, and receiving support. This role will also assist the Simulation Supply Kits team with assembling and kitting items.

This position requires attention to detail and consistent adherence to defined work processes. Employees are expected to work at a steady pace while maintaining accuracy, quality, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities and Other Duties as Assigned:
Picking
  • Locates products within the DC and picks customer orders accurately using RF scanners.
  • Records picked items and quantities in the appropriate picking bins.
Packing
  • Verifies picked orders and processes shipments at a computer‑based packing workstation.
  • Packs orders according to company standards, including sealing, labeling, and applying packing slips.
General
  • Works across areas of the DC and transitions between tasks based on workload, seasonal needs, and business priorities.
  • Assists with unloading, stacking, and wrapping inbound products.
  • Assists the Simulation Supply Kits team with assembly and kitting items.
  • Performs cycle counts as needed to help maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Assists with other DC functions as needed based on workload and staffing.
  • Maintains dependable onsite attendance and punctuality.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment while complying with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) and a minimum of 1 year of relevant Distribution Center/Warehouse experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
Skills and Experience:
  • Must be available to work Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM and overtime as required.
  • Experience with RF equipment, Warehouse Management Systems, and shipping software preferred.
  • Basic reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to changing priorities, tasks, and work areas in a fast‑paced environment; flexibility is essential to success in this role.
