Job summary

Simon & Schuster, a global book publisher, is hiring Material Handlers for its Jackson, TN distribution center. Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities are available to maintain workflows across departments within a fast-paced warehouse.

Hours include 7:30am–4:00pm for FT and flexible 1st/2nd shifts for PT, with an hourly rate of $16–$20 depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, sick time, floating holidays, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to meet workplace demands.
• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of employees.
• Ability to work alongside employees and accomplish daily goals.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain standing and activity for scheduled shifts.
• Capable of performing a full range of physical movements.
• Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with safety and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough workflows in various departments within the Distribution Center.
• Support multiple shifts and teams to ensure timely material handling.
• Adhere to safety policies and productivity standards.
• Assist with daily goals and shift handovers.
