Job summary

NAPA in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a warehouse associate to stage products on pallets, shrink wrap loads, and prepare shipments by trip and store numbers. You will ensure safe and accurate loading, keeping trailers ready for departure.

Responsibilities include operating a pallet jack or forklift, inspecting trailers for suitability, organizing loads from skids to trucks, maintaining clean work areas, and following all safety procedures throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively.
• Ability to recognize letters and numbers and remember their sequence.
• Able to stand and walk for entire shift.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and push/pull up to 300 lbs with aid.

Responsibilities

• Stage products on pallets and shrink wrap to prevent loss; load pallets on trucks.
• Inspect trailers for suitability before loading.
• Ensure correct parts on the right truck and organize loading from skids to trucks.
• Operate pallet jack or forklift as needed.
• Maintain product integrity through proper handling and storage.
• Keep work area clean to prevent accidents and enable rapid loading.
• Pull stock orders until time to load trucks as needed.
• Assist with processing other DC shuttles.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations.

Position Mission:This position will be responsible for, among other things, stages, shrink wraps and loads products by trip number and store number as it is received from the packing and pulling areas of the stockroom. Prepares palletized loads for shipment by shrink-wrapping product to ensure safe transportation or storage, including safe and proper balancing and placement of products.
