Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC in Concord, NC, is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Generalist to join the founding team for a brand-new distribution center. You will shape culture, employee experience, and people strategy from day one, partnering with site leadership to build an engaged workforce.

This onsite role supports about 90 hourly associates and 6 exempt leaders, acting as trusted advisor on employee relations, performance, staffing, and training while ensuring compliance and continuous

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of two years of Human Resources experience.
  • Strong business acumen with compliance, ethics, and sound decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence and partner with employees and leaders at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Help build a positive, inclusive, high-performance culture during the launch of a new distribution center.
  • Serve as an HR partner by guiding employee relations, performance, talent development, and policy interpretation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and policies, driving continuous improvement.
  • Analyze workforce data and prepare reports for meaningful business insights.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on HR policies, leadership, compliance, and development.
  • Partner with operational leadership on staffing strategies, onboarding, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Stay current on employment laws and ensure compliant policies aligned with business needs.
  • Support audits, compliance initiatives, and HR reporting with other teams to drive excellence.
  • Champion associate engagement initiatives to strengthen retention and morale.
  • Support change management during growth of the distribution operation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted HR partner to associates and leaders by providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and policy interpretation.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes, programs, and policies while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze workforce data and prepare reports that provide meaningful insights to support business decisions.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for leaders and associates on HR policies, leadership skills, compliance, and employee development.
  • Partner with operational leadership on staffing strategies, workforce planning, onboarding initiatives, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Stay current on employment laws and regulations, ensuring policies and practices remain compliant and aligned with business needs.
  • Support audits, compliance initiatives, and HR‑related reporting while partnering with internal teams to drive process excellence.
  • Champion associate engagement initiatives that strengthen retention, morale, communication, and overall employee experience.
  • Support change management efforts associated with a growing and evolving distribution operation.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Pay Range
  • $4,766.67
  • $7,625.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles. This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible. Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
