Job summary

Malteries Soufflet in Town of Champlain, NY is seeking a warehouse associate to efficiently complete daily orders, handle shipping/receiving, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. You will operate forklifts and production equipment, manage inventory, and support general warehouse tasks.

The candidate should be physically capable of lifting 55 lbs, comfortable with overtime, and possess basic math and writing skills. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 55 lbs repeatedly and carry for distances up to 100 ft.
• Ability to operate rolling 8 ft ladders and stand-up forklifts.
• Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
• Basic math and writing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily orders: picking, wrapping and loading.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks to maintain operations.
• Maintain cleanliness via light sanitation to support safety and organization.
• Operate automated production equipment per guidelines.
• Safely operate stand-up forklifts to move materials.
• Conduct inventory control and ensure stock accuracy.
• Follow all safety rules and promote a secure work environment.
• Take on additional warehouse or office tasks as required.

Essential Functions

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily orders, including picking, wrapping, and loading.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks to maintain seamless operations.
• Maintain cleanliness through light sanitation practices to support a safe and organized environment.
• Operate automated production equipment efficiently and in compliance with guidelines.
• Safely operate stand-up forklifts to transport materials and support warehouse functions.
• Conduct inventory control activities, ensuring accuracy and proper stock levels.
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations to promote a secure work environment.
• Perform additional tasks as required within the warehouse or office to support overall operations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter, team player
• Ability to comfortably lift and carry 55lbs multiple times per day, carry for distances of up to 100ft.

Working Conditions

Starting pay $20.00 an hour
