Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors seeks an Inventory Auditor to help ensure product accuracy in our distribution center. You will audit inventory using RF equipment, review receipts, and support compliance with company guidelines to keep operations running smoothly.

You will work with Inventory Control, DC Operations, and vendor receipt teams to maintain accurate counts and reliable processes, while adapting to varying temperatures and schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• 6 months of related experience preferred.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and understand computer printouts.
• Effective communication across listening, speaking, and writing.
• Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet using mezzanines or equipment.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A team-first attitude; you're happy to step in wherever needed.

What You Will Work On

This role focuses on ensuring product accuracy through frequent auditing of inventory, outbound containers, and inbound vendor receipts. You will help maintain the integrity of inventory flow by identifying discrepancies and communicating findings clearly. Your work plays a key role in keeping distribution operations smooth, dependable, and customer‑ready.

Daily responsibilities include counting inventory using RF equipment, reviewing documentation, and supporting compliance with company guidelines. Collaboration with team members helps address issues quickly and supports strong operational alignment. Every audit you complete strengthens accuracy, safety, and confidence across the distribution center.
