In addition to these duties the Distribution Center Associate II may perform certain tasks requiring higher skill levels, troubleshooting, and may participate in the training of Distribution Center Associates.Exciting work you will do:The essential duties and responsibilities of the Distribution Center Associate II position may consist of some or all, and are not limited to, the following:Queue management in Company business systemResearch shipping and receiving discrepanciesDispute and resolution of vendor receiptsTrain owner-associates on proper proceduresPerform defined Distribution Center activities specific to the receipt, placement into inventory, selection for shipment, and shipment of stockHandle customer returns and defectsPick orders accurately and promptlyPack ordersReceive inventory accurately and promptlyRestock inventory in designated storage areasTruck loading and unloading according to established proceduresOperate forklift, hand trucks, or other equipmentInventory cycle countingAccurately identify and count inventory in assigned areasMaintain quality and quantity performance and production standardsParticipate in ongoing general housekeeping of the Distribution CenterCheck assigned equipment for proper operation and report problems to supervisionFollow safe work habits and established safety proceduresParticipate in safety initiatives as assignedAttend meetings and training sessionsOther Distribution Center tasks as assignedCompetencies you possess:Service ExcellenceResults, Action OrientedAccountability and ResponsibilityTeamwork and CollaborationSafety ConsciousWhat you’ll need:Work Experience: One year of previous warehouse experienceAnalytics/Computer Skills: Ability to use standard office equipment, including but not limited to computerized bar code scanners, printers, and standard warehouse equipment and tools; proficiency in basic computer operation; basic math and reasoning skillsOrganization Skills: Excellent work ethic; good verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independentlyCross-functional Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under the direction of a Supervisor or Distribution Center LeadCommunication Skills: Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; ability to request assistance when appropriate, especially when lifting heavy objectsPhysical, Mental and Visual Skills: Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs; ability to stand, walk, lift, pull, and push during the entire work shift; ability to climb stair/step ladders up to 16 stepsPhysical Environment: Exposure to temperature conditions prevalent at the time; noise level consistent with that of a distribution centerQualifications we prefer but don’t require:Work Experience: Previous experience picking orders with an RF scanner is preferred; ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, and cranesThe Kendall Group is an equal opportunity employer.
