Job summary

Hot Topic is hiring for a Distribution Center Associate / Internet Fulfillment Associate in Tennessee. You will pack and prepare orders for shipment, maintain accuracy and throughput across stations, and stock merchandise as received. You’ll work in a climate-controlled DC with a break room and overhead music.

Shifts run in the morning to evening and require standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Prior DC or e-commerce fulfillment experience is preferred but not required, with reliable

• Physical stamina and attention to detail in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Standing and walking for extended periods; able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Previous DC or Internet Fulfillment experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pack and prepare orders for shipment using appropriate supplies and packing materials.
• Ensure orders are accurate and inducted in a timely manner; maintain smooth workflow between workstations.
• Stock new merchandise as it is received.
• Communicate production issues to management.
• Follow safety, cleanliness, and ethics policies.
• Monitor supplies and coordinate with supervisors to order more as needed.
• Follow departmental procedures and report changes to your supervisor.
• Work in a climate-controlled building with a break room and overhead music.
• Operate in a distribution center environment with moderate-to-loud noise levels.

Whether you're a Distribution Center Associate processing and shipping merchandise to our stores, or an Internet Fulfillment Associate, accurately picking and packing e-commerce orders, you'll play a key role in getting our products into our customers' hands. Like Harry Potter, you're the one creating the magic behind the scenes that brings the Hot Topic experience to life.

Pay Range: $16.00 - $17.50 an hour

Monday-Thursday 4:45am-3:15pm / 4:55am-3:25pm – $16.00hr
Sunday-Wednesday 4:00pm-2:30am – $16.50hr
Friday-Sunday 4:45am-5:15pm / 5:00am-5:30pm – $17.50hr

What You'll Do

• Pack and prepare orders for shipment. We move quickly, so you’ll be able to keep up with our pace while using the appropriate supplies and packing materials
• Ensure that all orders are accurate and inducted in a timely manner. You’ll handle shipments efficiently to ensure smooth workflow from one workstation to the next
• Stock new merchandise as received
• Communicate with management on any production issues that arise.
• Stick to all company policies and procedures, including safety, cleanliness, and code of ethics
• Monitor production supplies and partner with Supervisor or Team Lead to order additional supplies as needed
• Follow all written departmental procedures and identify any changes that may be necessary, reporting these findings to your supervisor
• Work in a new, climate-controlled building with an awesome break room and overhead music throughout.
• Distribution center environment with a moderate-to-loud noise level.

What You'll Need

• This role requires physical stamina and attention to detail in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Team Members will pick customer and store orders, pack products, handle totes, and move boxes throughout the operation.
• Responsibilities include standing and walking for extended periods, frequently lifting and carrying boxes up to 50 lbs., and bending, reaching, twisting, and performing repetitive motions while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
