Woodgrain is hiring a CDL-A truck driver to join our regional route team. You will operate a tractor-trailer, perform inspections, and deliver products to customers with accuracy and care. Preference given to candidates with clean driving records and a strong safety mindset.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 21 years old and valid Class A CDL.
• At least 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in past 3 years.
• No DUI within last 7 years; clean DOT record.
• Must pass DOT medical card and pre-employment physical.

Responsabilidades

• Operates tractor/trailer per company policies and DOT guidelines.
• Conducts pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Delivers product to customers according to route and schedule.
• Secures trailer curtains/doors at each stop as required.
• Scans product tags and verifies load accuracy upon unloading.
• Obtains customer signatures for POD and reports to dispatcher.
• Keeps truck and trailer clean and professional in appearance.
• Operates Mobile Onboard Recording device as required.
• Reports truck/equipment issues promptly to supervisor.
• Attends safety meetings and adheres to company safety standards.
• Ability to handle curtain operations and load securing.

Schedule: 40+ hours per week / Regional Route

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operates tractor/trailer in accordance with Company Policies, DOT Guidelines, and applicable traffic laws during the day or night and in various traffic and weather conditions.
• Conducts and documents pre- and post-trip inspections on truck and trailer.
• Responsible for securing cargo on trailer.Makes product deliveries according to proper route and schedule as indicated on the manifest.
• While at customer locations, the driver must open, close and secure trailer curtains and/or doors for customer to unload product.
• Ensure product accuracy and quality by scanning product tag numbers with a scanner and visually inspecting product as it is unloaded from the trailer.
• Obtains customer signatures on proof of delivery and submits to the dispatcher as required.
• Clean and sweep truck and trailer as needed.
• Operate and maintain a Mobile Electronic Onboard Recording device.
• Report truck, trailer, equipment, and material problems and/or damage, accidents, and traffic violations promptly to the appropriate company official.
• Maintains a clean and professional appearance.
• Attends departmental staff and safety meetings.
• Must be able to pull a 175 Lb. trailer curtain open and closed at each stop as well as un-strap and re-strap to secure the remaining load
• Must be able to obtain a new DOT certified medical card and pass a Work-Well Physical Abilities test at time of hire

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 2 years verifiable tractor trailer commercial driving experience within the past 3 years required
• No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years and no more than 3 within the past 7 years
• No DUIs within the last 7 years
• No reckless driving, speeding 15mph and over, leaving the scene of an accident in the past 3 years
• No leaving the scene of an accident
• No at-fault DOT recordable accidents in the past 3 years
• Current Class A CDL required
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• High level attention to detail
