2nd Shift 5pm - 1am

An advanced-level distribution role that requires frequent material handling equipment use. This role utilizes cutting edge technology in a fast paced environment to delight and create value for our customers by moving our business products accurately and timely.

Major Responsibilities

• Inbound freight receiving: unloading trailer, staging product, inspecting pallets for quantity and damages, removing damaged product, validating all paperwork, annotating discrepancies, and creating receiving manifest and receipts.
• Full case receiving stocking.
• Customer return processing.
• Full case order selecting and replenishment processing.
• Order shipping and truck loading, including securing and stabilizing cartons and pallets throughout the loading process.
• Operate Stock Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counter Balance Forklifts, and Electric Pallet Jacks.
• Ensure proper trailer docking procedures are followed and all paperwork is correct.
• Place receipt tickets on correct items, sort pallets, transport to appropriate zones, and place items in designated warehouse locations.
• Print Return Goods Report, obtain return authorization numbers, inspect return items, repack or repair as necessary, and disposition items appropriately.
• Obtain pick labels, locate items, prepare cartons, apply packing slips, and stock “HOT Replenishments” as needed.
• Use warehouse technology to look up alternate locations and process orders accordingly.
• Unload fulfilled cartons, stage for shipping, apply stretch wrap, write pallet placards, and secure pallets on the truck.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following all policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in Lean Continuous Improvement culture and processes.
• Understand and demonstrate Essendant's Core Values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Skills & Knowledge

• Highly dependable, demonstrating teamwork, integrity, honesty, and accountability.
• Ability to perform all required tasks within the scope of Distribution 2 to the established productivity levels and in keeping with SOPs, rules, and quality guidelines.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently (box erector, tape machine, Taylor Dunn, pallet jack, walkie-rider).
• Ability to use appropriate technology (pick-to-voice, computer, scanner, Associate Kiosks).
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to follow simple verbal and written directions in English.
• Ability to perform basic math.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse/Distribution-related experience helpful.
• Material handling experience helpful.
