Nuveen is seeking a Distribution Associate to support sales teams and relationship managers. You will engage financial advisors, promote Nuveen investment solutions, and help grow the advisor book of business.
You’ll collaborate with wholesalers and regional directors, manage inquiries in Salesforce, and contribute to territory planning and performance tracking to meet sales targets.
The Distribution Associate role contributes to sales goals, relationship management goals, and business strategy by providing day-to-day support to sales teams and relationship managers. Working independently under general supervision, this job assists in identifying target clients, executing product sales and managing client relationships and development.
Independently initiate and manage outbound client and prospect communications across multiple channels — including phone, email, and web conference — to market and promote Nuveen investment solutions.
Exercise judgment in assessing client needs, tailoring educational and consultative responses to financial advisors, and determining appropriate follow-up strategies based on relationship stage and business objectives.
Apply a disciplined understanding of the sales process to profile advisors, identify prospecting opportunities, and develop new business relationships through independent research and strategic outreach. This includes managing digital leads and supporting pipeline oversight within Salesforce, requiring the associate to make informed decisions about prioritization and engagement cadence with limited direct supervision.
Support SMA servicing activities by coordinating account documentation, preparing and distributing proposals and product literature, and managing CUSIP entries and data integrity within integrated Salesforce workflows to ensure operational continuity across the team.
Collaborate closely with external wholesalers and regional directors to align on territory strategies, coordinate joint outreach efforts, and ensure consistent messaging and coverage across assigned advisor segments. This includes participating in team meetings, contributing to territory planning discussions, and helping track progress against sales targets and activity metrics.
Conduct ongoing research and analysis to support advisor segmentation, identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the existing book of business, and surface actionable insights that inform the broader distribution strategy. This may include reviewing product performance data, monitoring market trends, and synthesizing competitive intelligence to support advisor conversations.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource on Nuveen's investment capabilities, including mutual funds, ETFs, separately managed accounts, and alternative strategies, effectively communicating product features, positioning, and competitive differentiators to financial advisors at varying levels of sophistication.
Manage and respond to inbound inquiries from financial advisors in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high standard of client service and a positive experience that strengthens advisor relationships and supports retention goals.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions, pipeline activity, and account data within Salesforce, ensuring compliance with internal data governance standards and supporting reporting requirements across the distribution team.
Coordinate the fulfillment of marketing materials, product collateral, and customized presentations, working with internal resources such as marketing, product, and investment teams to ensure materials are current, accurate, and aligned with advisor needs.
Support the onboarding of new advisor relationships by facilitating account setup processes, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and efficiently, and serving as a point of coordination between advisors, operations, and compliance teams as needed.
