Cerebras Systems, Inc. is looking for a Cluster Security Engineer to lead security efforts for AI cluster products. This role involves ensuring the security of complex hardware and networking within a large-scale data center, and developing robust security solutions.
The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in distributed systems security, have excellent communication skills, and be prepared to work collaboratively across teams to enhance security measures.
The salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $240,000 annually, reflecting experience and qualifications.
Cerebras Systems builds the world's largest AI chip, 56 times larger than GPUs. This architecture allows Cerebras to deliver industry‑leading training and inference speeds; over 10 times faster than GPU‑based hyperscale cloud inference services. This order of magnitude increase in speed is transforming the user experience of AI applications, unlocking real‑time iteration and increasing intelligence via additional agentic computation.
Cerebras works with the leading model labs, global enterprises, and cutting‑edge AI‑native startups. OpenAI recently announced a multi‑year partnership with Cerebras to deploy 750 megawatts of scale, transforming key workloads with ultra high‑speed inference.
In this role, you will be the security czar for the Cerebras AI cluster product. Such AI clusters have 100’s of wafer‑scale accelerator systems, 1000’s of high‑end servers, and several 1000’s of networking ports including switches. Plus, there will be network attached storage, all in a large‑scale datacenter.
You will ensure that Cerebras’ large‑scale AI clusters are secured through first‑principles, best practices, security‑first based engineering. The Cerebras cluster involves complex hardware components, networking and a vertically integrated cluster management software stack – all the way from a bare‑metal deployment that brings up an operational cluster to a suite of cluster management software that enables multi‑tenant higher‑level training and inference services to be hosted on such large clusters.
Your role will be to ensure both end‑to‑end security as well as privacy of such cluster use‑cases. You will develop security engineering solutions that have the necessary network access control, user access controls, and world‑class multi‑tenancy solution.
The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $240,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
Cerebras Systems is committed to creating an equal and diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate different backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We believe inclusive teams build better products and companies. We try every day to build a work environment that empowers people to do their best work through continuous learning, growth and support of those around them.
