Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Boston, MA, seeks an experienced oncology clinical development leader to direct global clinical programs for thoracic oncology. You will oversee strategy, design, initiation, execution, analysis, and regulatory submissions across the full development lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years in industry drug development with 3+ years in clinical medicine, and a strong scientific publication record. Board eligibility in Oncology is preferred; travel ~20% may apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct oncology clinical research for new or marketed drugs.
• Manage the full clinical development cycle: strategy, study design, initiation, execution, analysis, regulatory reporting, publication, and presentation.
• Evaluate pre-clinical/translational work to support early clinical plans and Investigational New Drug applications.
• Develop clinical development strategies incorporating science, regulatory requirements, competitive landscape, and commercial considerations.
• Plan clinical trials (design, operations, settings) and monitor/manage conduct of trials.
• Analyze and summarize clinical findings to support safety/efficacy decisions and regulatory submissions.
• Lead cross-functional clinical trial efforts and interact with key opinion leaders.
• Manage Directors/Senior Directors and supervise clinical teams.
• Maintain scientific knowledge and identify investigators; attend scientific meetings; author development documents and facilitate global collaborations.
