Job summary

Intellibus seeks a seasoned Platform Engineering Leader to architect scalable wealth management platforms and drive modern, cloud-based microservices. You will coordinate REST APIs, data streaming with Kafka, and financial APIs, while mentoring teams in Java and Python.

Responsibilities include CI/CD adoption, security uplift, and collaboration with quant analysts to deploy AI/ML insights for clients. This role combines fintech innovation with leadership in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Leadership experience: 10+ years in technology roles within wealth management/fintech/financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Python.
• Experience with REST-based microservices, Kafka, and Snowflake databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implement high-performance, scalable wealth management platforms.
• Architect microservices-based solutions for portfolio analytics, onboarding, and trading systems.
• Integrate FinTech APIs (Bloomberg, Reuters, Plaid) and third-party custodial systems.
• Ensure low-latency data processing for real-time risk and rebalancing using Kafka.
• Lead code reviews, system optimizations, and promote CI/CD, DevOps practices.
• Mentor teams in Java/Python frameworks (Spring Boot, Django, Pandas) and event-driven microservices.
• Collaborate with quant analysts and data scientists to deploy AI/ML models.
• Evaluate emerging tech like blockchain, NLP, robo-advisory tools.

Our Platform Engineering Team is working to solve the Multiplicity Problem. We are trusted by some of the most reputable and established FinTech Firms. Recently, our team has spearheaded the Conversion & Go Live of apps that support the backbone of the Financial Trading Industry.

We are looking for a leader who can:

• Design and implement high-performance, scalable wealth management platforms using Java, Python, and cloud-native technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Architect microservices-based solutions for portfolio analytics, client onboarding, and trading systems, including integration interface design and REST API standards.
• Integrate FinTech APIs (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Plaid) and third-party custodial/payment systems.
• Ensure low-latency data processing for real-time risk assessment and rebalancing algorithms using Kafka topics and other event-driven architecture patterns.
• Lead code reviews, system optimizations, and adoption of best practices (TDD, CI/CD, DevOps).
• Mentor engineering teams in Java/Python frameworks (Spring Boot, Django, Pandas) and support best practices in event-driven microservices (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Collaborate with quant analysts and data scientists to deploy AI/ML models for personalized financial advice.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as blockchain for asset tokenization, NLP for client chatbots, and robo-advisory tools.
• Optimize data pipelines for client reporting, performance analytics, and regulatory disclosures.
• Enhance security frameworks including OAuth, encryption protocols, and Zero Trust architectures.
• Architect solutions that support hybrid environments, ensuring seamless operations across on-prem and AWS cloud infrastructures.
• Design professional slide decks, architectural diagrams, and visual content using PowerPoint, Canva, and other tools to support client communications and internal stakeholder engagement effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Leadership Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership in technology roles within the wealth management, fintech, or financial services industry.

Technical Expertise:

• Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java and Python.
• Expertise in REST-based microservices, Kafka for real-time data streaming, and Snowflake & relational databases.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CISSP) are highly valued.
• Deep expertise in REST-based microservices, Kafka for real-time data streaming, event-driven systems, and relational/Snowflake databases.
• Innovation Skills: Proven ability to explore and implement new technologies such as AI, machine learning, blockchain, and data analytics.
• Startup Experience: Previous experience in high-growth or startup environments with adaptability to scaling demands.
