ADM is seeking a Distillation Operator 1 in Winter Haven, FL to operate and troubleshoot distillation and processing equipment. Responsibilities include charging stills, assembling lineups, and packaging citrus oils with GC analysis of cuts, while maintaining GMP/HACCP standards.

The role requires basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The job entails 12-hour shifts, 7 days on/off, with comprehensive benefits and on-site safety programs.

Qualifications

• GED/HS diploma required.
• Basic mathematics understanding required (addition/subtraction/multiplication/division).

Responsibilities

• Operate distillation and reaction process equipment and manage inventory through paperwork transfers.
• Charge stills and manage process lines.
• Set up plumbing lines with hoses and fittings to and from tanks.
• Package citrus oils in drums/pails/gallon containers; sample and label distillation cuts; run GC analysis and adjust runs based on analysis.
• Maintain safety standards and operate forklift for drums/pails pallets and drum picker.

Summary/Objective:

Operation and Troubleshooting of Distillation and processing equipment

Essential Functions:

• Run Distillation and Reaction process equipment, Inventory management through paperwork transfers.
• Charging of stills,
• Process plumbing lineups with hoses hard lines and fittings to and from tanks,
• Packaging of citrus oils in drums/pails/gallon containers with various methods, sampling and labeling distillation cuts and running GC analysis on cuts and in process samples, making run condition changes/decisions based on analysis, housekeeping of the work area, adhering to GMP/HACCP/Food
• Safety Standards. Forklift operation- drum and pail pallets and drum picker usage.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• None

Work Environment:

• 50% Ambient/50% Air Conditioned Office

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis, able to bend, stoop, stretch, reach and duck.
• Moderate periods of standing.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Direct-Hourly- 7 days on/off 12 hour shifts

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay for this position is expected to be:

$20.00-$28.00
