Job summary

Endurion seeks a Distance Learning Instructor to support JSOU missions for USSOCOM. You will provide subject matter expertise to staff, faculty, and students, focusing on military studies and DL education processes.

The role requires BA/BS, experience with PME/JPME, JKO, and instructional design, with on-site work at JSOU Campus, MacDill AFB, FL. Travel and coordination across commands are expected.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Familiarity with education collaboration tools (SharePoint, Blackboard).
• 2 years’ leadership experience in a national security or policy program.
• 3 years’ practical experience in professional military education or training.
• Able to attain a Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) system administrator account and 3 years’ experience with JKO content management.
• 2 years’ academic expertise on military joint operations topics.
• 2 years’ instructor and project or program management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide DL education support to USSOCOM HQ, JSOC, TSOCs, components and SOF forces.
• Design, develop, implement, evaluate, assess and administer DL courses for special operations professionals and enablers.
• Develop agendas and lead meetings to coordinate PME/JPME support.
• Maintain currency to teach a special operations curriculum relevant to PME.
• Maintain links between JSOU DL programs and Joint Knowledge Online (JKO).

Job Description:

SPATHE is looking for a qualified person to support our multi-year contract with the Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) mission in support of USSOCOM). As the Distance Learning Instructor, provide staff, faculty, and students subject matter expertise support that assist in the execution of JSOU’s educational support services with emphasis on military studies.

The candidate shall perform the following tasks:

• Provides DL education support to USSOCOM HQ, Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), Theater Special Operations Command (TSOCs), Components, and SOF Forces.
• Design, develop, implement, evaluate, assess, and administer DL courses for special operations professionals and enablers.
• Develop agendas and lead collaborative meetings to coordinate and enact Professional Military Education (PME)/Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) support.
• Maintain currency to teach a special operations curriculum area relevant to PME.
• Maintain linkages as required between the JSOU DL programs and Joint Knowledge Online (JKO).

Responsibilities:

• BA/BS required in any field. Degree must be from a regionally accredited U.S. college/university or internationally recognized college/university.
• Familiarity with education collaborative tools (SharePoint, Blackboard).
• 2 years’ leadership experience of a national security or national policy program or organization.
• 3 years’ practical experience within the professional military education or training community.
• Able to attain Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) system administrator account and three years’ experience with the JKO learning content management system.
• 2 years’ academic expertise on subjects of military joint operations.
• 2 years’ instructor and project or program management experience.

Schedule:0800-1700 Mon-Fri adjusted hours as needed.

Travel: Travel may be required to various locations. Travel as initiated by written tasking. Do not anticipate more than 10% of travel.
