Job summary

Walden University’s Human Services department seeks part-time faculty to mentor dissertation committees for our PhD/DHS Program. Applicants with secondary data experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Contributing faculty are primarily responsible for student research mentoring within the school's doctoral degree programs. Specifically, they will be required to serve on and/or chair dissertation committees, and will manage dissertation quality through service as a university research

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required in Human Services, Social Work or related field.
• Evidence of scholarly or creative work in the past 5 years.
• Strong contributions to the field and experience on doctoral committees.
• Experience mentoring doctoral students and with remote learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Chair dissertation committees.
• Serve as the second member of committees.
• Manage dissertation quality as URR reviewer.
• Participate in residencies and complete faculty trainings.
• Mentor students through prospectus, IRB and data analysis.
