Job summary

Steampunk seeks a Disruption Designer in the U.S. to guide government clients through our Design Intelligence framework, applying human-centered design to transform and improve workflows and adoption.

You will engage stakeholders, craft change-ready strategies, and deliver high-quality outcomes across projects. The role requires broad experience in change management, workshops, and storytelling to communicate insights and drive transformation within agile, cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in change management and well-versed in change management best practices and models.
• Demonstrated experience in current state assessments, future state visioning and communication planning.
• Demonstrated experience conducting user and stakeholder interviews and synthesizing data into personas, action, and training plans.
• A natural curiosity for solving problems with strong analytical skills.
• A collaborative nature with excellent written communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working in a project-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of discovery to understand client mission and goals; stakeholders, users and their ecosystems; current state journeys; user segments; program, project, and transformation objectives.
• Conduct workshops and interviews to frame pain points and opportunities; define problem statements and determine change readiness and areas of resistance.
• Synthesize research and data and craft compelling stories and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations that will shape transformation and change enablement.
• Develop and deploy communication plans, pilot plans, and training plans in partnership with key stakeholders and their customers.
• Develop and deploy change management plans that articulate actionable recommendations for organizational and workflow improvement.
• Develop, deploy, and measure key performance indicators for transformation and adoption.
• Collaborate and communicate stakeholder and user needs on a cross functional team within an agile environment.
• Understand and embrace the specifications and constraints of a given technology, platform and/or operational environment and understand how change management should be integrated into technological considerations.
• Ensure all deliverables across a variety of projects are produced at the highest quality.

• 5 years of in-depth knowledge and proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and/or other data analytic/visualization tools in order to design and build formulas, charts, links, pivot tables, etc,
• 2 years of experience manipulating unstructured data from different platforms; and experience in IT, statistics, computer information systems, auditing, investigative, mathematics, and units of measure.

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000 to $150,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
