Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc is seeking a Displays/Merchandising Associate to maintain and enhance in-store presentations. You will collaborate with shop managers to position frames, images, and mannequins on floor plans, ensuring displays reflect current trends and campaigns.

Strong customer-service orientation is essential. The role requires a merchandising or related degree and prior display experience, with physical ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in merchandising, retailing, fashion management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and maintain store displays to meet Scheels’ standards.
• Manage inventory of display supplies within budget.
• Coordinate with Specialty Shop Managers to place frames, images and mannequins on the floor plan.
• Keep displays and mannequins aligned with weekly/monthly campaigns and trends.
• Unload freight, tag, fold, hang and price merchandise for sales floor or back stock.
• Arrange merchandise to enhance customer experience and sales.
• Assist in installing vendor endcaps and maintain tidy workspaces.
• Demonstrate professional appearance and teamwork.

Schedule:

Work assigned schedule, schedule is typically Monday-Friday (daytime hours), with weekends as needed. At times it may include varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and maintain displays throughout the store to meet and exceed SCHEELS display expectations
• Manage store inventory of display supplies by following a designated budget
• Coordinate with Specialty Shop Managers and Leadership to provide placement of frames, images and mannequins on floor plan
• Maintain images and mannequins in line with current trends for the week, month, season, and specific store or corporate campaigns
• Unload product from freight. Tag, fold, hang and price merchandise to be put out on the sales floor or in back stock
• Arrange merchandise in such a way to enhance the customer experience
• Assist in executing the installation of all vendor paid endcaps
• Maintain orderly appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates of the organization
• Ability to be organized, multi-task and maintain all aspects of a display role
• Ability to work independently and with the team
• Exercise judgment and tact and be able to effectively work with all levels within the organization
• Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and in a timely manner
• Ability to apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s or an associate’s degree in merchandising, retailing, fashion management or any other related field of study. Prior experience with display/merchandising is preferred.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
