Job summary

Americhem in Concord, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Operator for the Dispersion – 3rd Shift. The role involves setting up, operating and maintaining extrusion equipment to produce color compounds, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy and quality.

You will work Monday–Thursday 9pm–7am, get a starting pay of $18.00/hour with a $1.75 shift differential, and enjoy benefits such as paid time off, holidays, uniforms and comprehensive medical coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting capability.
• Forklift/tow motor experience preferred.
• Solid math and analytical skills.
• Dependable, reliable, and self-motivated work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of safety by following all safety procedures and actively participating in safety programs
• Operate extrusion and related production equipment, including extruders, feeders, pelletizers, scales, dies, and classifiers
• Produce compound samples according to customer and production specifications
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Add color mix to feeders using a tow motor/forklift to position color pots correctly
• Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed

Position Summary

The Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion equipment used in the production of color compounds. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive starting pay: $18.00/hour and up
