Job summary

Oncology Consultants - Memorial City Pharmacy in Houston, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing of oral oncology medications. The role requires maintaining accurate counts, filling prescriptions, stocking supplies, and preparing shipments while complying with all regulatory requirements.

Preferred bilingual English/Spanish candidates to better serve our diverse patient population. Prior experience in oncology, retail, or hospital settings is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) required.
  • Five years experience in specialty, retail, or hospital pharmacy as a pharmacy technician preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Dispenser of oral oncology medications for patients of the company.
  • Count and fill oral oncology medications, order and stock medications and supplies.
  • Pack and ship medications and ensure regulatory compliance.

Education

Job description

Location: Oncology Consultants - Memorial City Pharmacy Pay Range: $17.93 - $29.89

This position supports Oncology Consultants in Houston, TX.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred to support effective communication with our diverse patient population.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Pharmacist, will be responsible for dispensing of oral oncology medications for the patients of the company. Will be responsible for all dispensing functions in the Pharmacy including but not limited to accurately counting and filling oral oncology medications, ordering and stocking of medications and supplies, and packing/shipping of medications.

Demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of role, relevant regulations, and organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Performs all duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Certifications / Licenses
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) required
Previous Experience
  • Five years experience in specialty, retail, or hospital pharmacy as a pharmacy technician preferred

  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook preferred.
