Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. in Florida is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to dispense oral oncology medications under supervision of the Dispensing Operations Pharmacist.

Responsibilities include accurate counting, filling, stocking, and packing medications, while adhering to regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate holds a valid Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license, high school diploma, and at least five years of experience in specialty, retail, or hospital pharmacy.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) license in Florida is required.
  • Five years of experience in specialty, retail, or hospital pharmacy as a pharmacy technician is preferred.

  • Dispense oral oncology medications under supervision of the Dispensing Operations Pharmacist.
  • Accurately count and fill oral oncology medications, stock supplies, and pack/shipment preparation.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Location: AON Pharmacy Pay Range: $18.93 - $31.56

RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Dispensing Operations Pharmacist, will be responsible for the dispensing of oral oncology medications for the patients of the Company. Will be responsible for all dispensing functions in the Pharmacy including but not limited to accurately counting and filling oral oncology medications, ordering/ stocking of medications and supplies, and packing/shipping of medications. Demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of role, relevant regulations, and organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Performs all duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certifications/Licenses: Current, unrestricted Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) required (FL)
  • Previous Experience (including minimum years of experience): Five years’ experience in specialty, retail, or hospital pharmacy as a pharmacy technician preferred

Self-motivated and self-starter with ability work independently with limited supervision. Ability to work remotely effectively as required. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of stakeholders and sites.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook preferred.

Standard Core Workdays/Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Occasional overtime may be required, and weekend shifts based on location hours and operational needs.
