Job summary

Omnicare, operating as an independent entity after CVS Health’s separation, seeks a licensed Indiana pharmacist for a full-time role in Fort Wayne supporting long-term care facilities. You will ensure accurate order entry, maintain pharmacy security, and comply with DEA/state regulations while potentially performing IV preparation and immunization duties.

Role requires 40 hours weekly with evening/weekend/holiday coverage; licensure in good standing is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed pharmacist in Indiana, active & in good standing.
• Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred.
• IV Certification or experience preferred.
• Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate entry of orders
• Maintain security of the pharmacy
• Adhere to required delivery schedules
• Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy
• Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders
• Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling
• Preparation and/or supervision of sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required
• Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs
• Knowledge of DEA and state law with regards to controlled drug dispensing
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation based on the needs of the business
• Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA
• Other duties as assigned (these vary by location)

Position Summary

Following the sale of Omnicare by CVS Health, this role will support Omnicare and its continued operations as an independent, standalone organization. Candidates should be aware that this role will not remain within CVS Health following the transaction. The individual hired into this role will be employed by Omnicare and will contribute to shaping the future of our organization during this exciting period of growth and transformation.

What We Do

Directly, and through our subsidiaries, Omnicare provides a broad array of pharmacy-related services to long term care facilities and to other customers in the healthcare environment. While senior care has long been an Omnicare specialty, we also serve other targeted populations.

You Will

Required Qualifications

• Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Indiana, must be active & in good standing

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $45.43 - $76.15. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
