Job summary

210 Cannabis Co. is seeking a Dispensary Nurse to safely dispense methadone to patients in a compliant clinic setting. You will follow WAC/FDA/DEA regulations and dispense daily doses with accuracy, maintain records, and communicate patient status to the treatment team.

Licensed RNs or LPNs in Washington state are required, with background checks. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a hiring bonus in addition to regular compensation.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse in the state of Washington.
• A degree or studies in social science or medical field plus three years' experience.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug swab.
• WA state drivers' license and ability to be approved by Tribal insurance to drive Tribal vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Dispense daily doses of methadone/methadose and medications with accuracy.
• Maintain inventory and secure storage of medications and supplies.
• Assess patients' physical condition and report observations to supervisor.
• Alert treatment staff to changes in patient status.
• Maintain dispensing records and update medical order book.
• Review medical orders and record changes daily.
• Maintain current statistical records and inventory levels.
• Ensure accuracy of records to prevent medication discrepancies.
• Explain proper use of dispensed medications to clients.
• Perform TB tests on staff and clients as required.
• Inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Department: ICCS

Status: Non-Exempt

Grade: $49.73 HR.

Reports to: Methadone Director

HIRING BONUS: $5,000 (RN) $2,500 (LPN)

Position Summary

Responsible for the safe and efficient dispensing of methadone medication to patients in compliance with WAC, FDA, DEA, regulations and clinic policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently dispenses daily doses of methadone/methadose, medications
• Maintains current inventory of medication and medical supplies in secure environment
• Assessment of patients' physical condition; reporting observations to supervisor either verbally or in writing
• Alerts treatment staff of any observed changes in patients' status
• Maintains accurate dispensing records
• Daily review of medical order book and recording of changes
• Maintains current statistical records
• Accounts for all medication used during dispensary shift
• Ensures accuracy of records to avoid medication discrepancies and takes corrective action as needed
• Explains the proper use of dispensed medication and its effects to clients
• Performs TB tests on staff and clients
• Inventories and orders supplies as needed
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
