Acadia Healthcare’s Bangor Comprehensive Treatment Center in Bangor, ME, seeks an LPN Dispensing Nurse for an outpatient opioid treatment program (OTP). You will assess patients, administer medications, monitor vital signs, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure safe and effective treatment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (LPN/LVN).
• Prefer 1 year of nursing experience in behavioral health, outpatient treatment, or addiction recovery.
• Skills in drawing blood and collecting specimens; operate medical equipment safely.
• Proficient with EMR systems and clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of Nursing Supervisor, Medical Director, and Clinic Director; maintain professional standards of care.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered, accurately and timely.
• Document medication administration and nursing care in patient records.
• Maintain accurate inventory of medication stock and records per DEA/FDA and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain accounting of medications received from suppliers and dispensed to patients.
• Dedicate roughly 90% of time to medication administration; other duties as assigned.
• Conduct urine and/or blood tests, read results, complete intake assessments, monitor patient outcomes.
• Complete documentation for procedures accurately and in line with clinic standards.
• May transport medication to other locations or work on a CTC Mobile Unit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
