Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) seeks a dedicated LPN - Dispensing Nurse to join the Montgomery County Methadone Center on a PRN basis. You’ll work with the MAT team to provide patient-centered nursing care, medication support, education, and monitoring during treatment.

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment, including Medication Assisted Treatment.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for correctional facilities.
• Active and valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Maintain an active/current nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical providers.
• Monitor patients for potential adverse reactions or side effects and communicate concerns to the appropriate medical provider.
• Collect and document patient information, including vital signs, medical histories, and current medications.
• Provide patient education and support related to medication management and harm reduction practices.
• Conduct urine drug screenings and other testing as ordered by medical providers.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.
• Maintain the security of medications and the dispensing area while following applicable medication management protocols.
• Enter medication orders into the electronic record as prescribed by providers.
• Provide emergency medical treatment within the scope of nursing practice when necessary.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical nursing standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, quality improvement activities, and program evaluation as required.

We’re seeking a dedicated LPN - Dispensing Nurse to join our Montgomery County Methadone Center team on a PRN basis. This position is ideal for a nursing professional looking for flexible supplemental hours while making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals receiving treatment for substance use disorders.

As a member of our Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, you’ll work collaboratively with medical providers and other members of the treatment team to provide patient-Centered nursing care, medication support, education, and monitoring.

What You’ll Do

As an LPN - Dispensing Nurse, you will:
