Job summary

Meadow Gold Dairy is seeking a Dispenser / Filler Operator for the PM shift. Responsibilities include operating the filler, ensuring product quality, and maintaining clean, sterile packaging lines in accordance with SOPs.

The role requires ability to work a 6:00 PM–4:30 AM schedule, stand for long periods, and pass pre-employment screenings. Benefits include union pension, healthcare, and growth opportunities within DFA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks.
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stack 6–8 cases high.
• Willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• May be exposed to cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the filler and set up the production line.
• Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment for the production line.
• Complete required documentation and quality checks.
• Monitor weights, seals, caps and packaging quality.
• Adjust filler timing and fill levels as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic to moderate equipment issues.
• Collect samples for Quality Assurance testing.
• Ensure proper packaging materials are used.
• Perform line changeovers and line cleaning after runs.
• Prepare equipment for next run and communicate issues to management.

Meadow Gold Dairy has an immediate position open for a Dispenser / FillerOperator to work our PM Shift. Our Machine/Filler Operatorsensure timely and efficient bottling of dairy products and will be responsible for keeping area clean and sanitized to meet FDA standards.

Job Description

• Ensuring optimum quality products through the operation of the filler of various product families following regulatory standards, ensuring the product is clean and sterile.
• Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line.
• Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks.
• Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of product.
• Make adjustments to filler timing and filling, & check mat as needed.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
• Collect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing.
• Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
• Perform filler and filler line changeovers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run.
• Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed.
• Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
• Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
• Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation

$24.87 per hour

+$.30 for hours worked between 6pm and 6am

SCHEDULE:

Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:00 PM - 4:30 AM

Off Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
