Job summary

Lonza in Portsmouth, NH seeks a Logistics Dispensing Technician I to support cGMP manufacturing by weighing and dispensing raw materials with precision in a Class C cleanroom. The role operates on a rotating 12-hour schedule, ensuring sterile procedures and strict quality control.

You will perform basic lab checks, maintain dispensing equipment, and manage ERP transactions while adhering to GDP and PPE requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in a scientific field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 0–4 years of experience in a laboratory, cleanroom (Grade C), or cGMP regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite and capability to learn enterprise logistics software (SAP, Syncaid, Orchestrate).
  • Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, aseptic techniques, chemical hazard awareness, and PPE requirements.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (days or nights), perform full cleanroom gowning, stand/walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate gowned in Class C cleanroom environments using sterile aseptic techniques and cross-contamination prevention practices.
  • Execute process recipes and conduct basic laboratory parameter checks, including pH measurements and conductivity testing.
  • Qualify for and perform routine cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance of dispensing equipment and cleanroom suites.
  • Perform physical material transfers and execute system inventory movements using enterprise platforms (SAP, Syncaid, Orchestrate).
  • Document all activities according to GDP and complete first-level peer reviews of electronic dispensing orders.

Job description

Logistics Dispensing Technician I

Join our Logistics and Dispensing team to play a vital role in executing key raw material and chemical preparation operations that support cGMP therapeutic protein manufacturing.

This is a full-time, site-based role following a rotating manufacturing schedule (covering day or night shifts). Working on-site in a Class C cleanroom environment ensures the technical precision, safety, and strict quality compliance required to manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

What You Will Do
  • Raw Material Dispensing: Perform, monitor, and record precise weighing and dispensing of liquid and powder raw materials (both hazardous and non-hazardous), including acids and bases, under cGMP conditions.

  • Cleanroom Operations & Compliance: Operate gowned in Class C cleanroom environments using sterile aseptic techniques and cross-contamination prevention practices in full alignment with site SOPs.

  • Basic Analytical Checks: Execute process recipes and conduct basic laboratory parameter checks, including pH measurements, conductivity testing, and sample collection.

  • Equipment & Facility Care: Qualify for and perform routine cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance of dispensing equipment and cleanroom suites.

  • Inventory & ERP Transactions: Perform physical material transfers and execute system inventory movements using enterprise platforms (SAP, Syncaid, Orchestrate), managing stock levels, returns, and raw material quality checks.

  • Documentation & Peer Review: Document all activities according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and complete first-level peer reviews of electronic dispensing orders (eDispense).

What We Are Looking For
  • Education: Associate Degree in a scientific field or equivalent relevant practical experience required (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

  • Experience: 0–4 years of experience in a laboratory, cleanroom (Grade C), or cGMP regulated environment.

  • Technical & Software Aptitude: Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and capability to learn enterprise logistics software (SAP, Syncaid, Orchestrate).

  • Quality & Safety Focus: Understanding of cGMP compliance, GDP, aseptic techniques, chemical hazard awareness, and PPE requirements.

  • Physical & Schedule Capabilities: Ability to work a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule (days or nights), perform full cleanroom gowning, stand/walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
