Job summary

One Plant in Santa Cruz is seeking a friendly Budtender to help customers choose cannabis products, explain strains and consumption methods, and ensure a welcoming shopping experience. The ideal candidate has strong communication, knowledge of cannabis products, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings and weekends.

Prior retail experience is preferred. You will handle transactions using POS, keep shelves stocked, stay compliant, and contribute to a positive team

Qualifications

Job Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Budtender. The Budtender will assist customers in selecting cannabis products, provide information on strains and consumption methods, and ensure a positive and informative shopping experience for all patrons.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product selection and inquiries.
• Educate customers on the various strains, products, consumption methods, and effects of cannabis.
• Accurately process transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system and maintain proper cash handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including stocking shelves and display cases.
• Adhere to all regulatory compliance standards and company policies.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product knowledge, and cannabis laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods is highly desirable.
